AGAL would like to extend our congratulations to Mr. Takayuki Sado, the owner of Beanstalk Bangkok Hotel, for receiving the 2023 Good Design Award. This accolade was bestowed upon the hotel following its renovation under the supervision of designer Mr. Takumi Saito from the architectural design firm B SIDES.
Before the hotel underwent its renovation, we were approached by Mr. Takayuki. Subsequently, we had the opportunity to work in collaboration with Mr. Takumi, who was overseeing the project and was the key decision-maker for the entire hotel's interior renovation.
Our involvement began in the brainstorming phase, where we introduced concepts and solutions tailored to various spaces. We then furnished the open-plan areas with specially curated furniture pieces, ensuring each design and material was customized to blend seamlessly with the surroundings, be it the lobby, dining zones, or even the suites.
Located in the historic part of the city, this hotel acts as a bridge connecting tourists with the local community. The renovation of the hotel perfectly encapsulates this blend, harmonizing the locale, cultural heritage, and a juxtaposition of vintage and modern aesthetics.
AGAL is honored to have been a part of this vibrant, challenging project shaped by the visionary designs of B SIDES. We are once again delighted that the meticulous attention to detail has been recognized and celebrated with such a prestigious award.
