เรามีโอกาสได้ โจทย์จากลูกค้าแฟนพันธุ์แท้ของ AGAL ที่อยากได้เก้าอี้นั่งสบาย ๆ ไว้ล้อมรอบโต๊ะสักตัวหนึ่ง โดยที่โต๊ะตัวนั้น ไม่ใช่เพียงโต๊ะนั่งกินข้าว แต่อยากจะให้เป็นโต๊ะสำหรับนั่งพูดคุยตามประสา นั่งแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ นั่งเล่นสันทนาการกันได้ยาว ๆ และลูกค้าก็เอ่ยปากว่า เหมือนคุณนั่งเล่น "โป๊กเกอร์"
ด้วยความที่โจทย์เริ่มต้นด้วยฟังก์ชันสมัยใหม่ แต่เน้นที่ความเป็น AGAL จะยังต้องคงอยู่ เราจึงออกแบบเก้าอี้ที่แปลความว่าจะต้องมี "ความร่วมสมัย" ต้องสามารถอยู่ได้กับทุกพื้นที่ของบ้าน เข้าได้กับทุกแนวการตกแต่ง โดดเด่นแต่พอดี ไม่มาก ไม่น้อยเกินไป และสำคัญยิ่งคือคงเอกลักษณ์ของพนักพิงดั้งเดิมของ "เก้าอี้จีนคลาสสิค" ที่เป็น "งานถนัด" ของ AGAL
เพื่อเพิ่มความสบาย จุดเด่นของ AGAL ตรงไม้พิงหลังตัดโค้งรับสรีระของผู้นั่ง ยังโดดเด่นชัดเจน แต่เราเพิ่มการผสมผสานวัสดุหนัง เข้าไปที่ตัวเบาะที่นั่ง และที่เท้าแขน ให้ความรู้สึก Premium นั่งสบาย สวยงามแบบเหนือกาลเวลา การผสานกันระหว่างไม้กับหนังนี้ เกิดจากการร่วมมือกันของช่างไม้ของ AGAL กับช่างตัดเย็บหนังผสมเข้าด้วยกันอย่างลงตัว
ทั้งหมดนี้ เรายังไม่ทิ้งความประณีตของช่างไม้บนดีเทลต่าง ๆ ขาหน้าเอียงขึ้นเข้าหาที่นั่ง แต่เมื่อพ้นมุมนั่งขึ้นไปแล้วสโลปเอียงออก เกิดเป็นฟอร์มที่เรียบง่าย ลื่นไหล มั่นคง ซึ่งเกิดจากการปาดสามเหลี่ยม หักองศา ลบเหลี่ยมคมที่ไม่เท่ากันบนไม้ชิ้นเดียว เพราะเราตั้งใจสร้างมุมมองที่แปลกใหม่และแตกต่างให้กับเก้าอี้ตัวนี้

AGAL had the opportunity from our cherished client who were looking for some casual chairs around a table, the one of which not just for dining but rather a spot to hang out, sharing moments and conversations like how he had mentioned, as if playing “Poker”.
Though started out with a function rather on a modern side, to portray AGAL distinct charm, our interpretation was to imbues the design with a contemporary appeal, able to blend in comfortably in every corner of the house with every decorating style. Outstanding in a tasteful level, not too much or too little. We proceeded with our specialty, a unique back rest inspired by Chinese classic chair.
For extra comfort which AGAL is renowned for, the ergonomically bent back rest was a prominent attribute. Leather material was also added to the seat and arm rest, elevating the premium seating sensation. This fuse of wood and leather derived from a collaboration between AGAL carpenter and a leather artisan, establishing a harmonious, timeless beauty.
Our craftsmen made sure to not leave their meticulous detail behind. The front legs leaned in towards the seat. But once exceed the seat height, they sloped out away from the chair, forming series of flowing, clean, yet steady lines created from a triangular cutting, angle shaping method and smoothing out inconsistencies, all in one single piece of wood as we strived to address a fresh new perspective to this chair.
