AGAL เราไม่เพียงออกแบบสินค้าใหม่ตามโจทย์ของลูกค้า แต่เรายังมีการนำสินค้าที่เป็น "ราก" หรือ "แก่น" ของเรา มาผสานเข้ากับวัสดุสมัยใหม่ เพื่อให้ได้ผลลัพธ์ใหม่ที่มีอัตลักษณ์ ก้าวทันตามยุคสมัย แต่ไม่ทิ้งกลิ่นอายความเป็น AGAL ดั่งเช่นโต๊ะทานข้าว Vinka ตัวนี้
แต่เดิมที โต๊ะทานข้าวตัวนี้ พัฒนามาจากสินค้าที่เป็น ICONIC มาก ๆ ของเราคือ Console ขาพับได้ ด้วย design ที่มีความเรียบง่าย มีเส้นตรงร้อยเรียงกันเป็นสามเหลี่ยมเพื่อเป็นฐานรับหน้า top ไม้สัก, จาก concept ตั้งต้นเดิมนี้ เราพัฒนาต่อยอด ขยายส่วนฐานออกให้ใหญ่ขึ้น และเปลี่ยนวัสดุหน้าโต๊ะจากไม้สักมาเป็นกระจกวางบนหน้า top แปลงโฉม Console ให้กลายเป็นโต๊ะทานข้าว
เมื่อครั้งแรกที่เราออกแบบโต๊ะตัวนี้ เราเลือกใช้กระจกใส tempered นิรภัยมาเป็นหน้า top แต่เพื่อแสดงถึงความก้าวหน้าของเรา ครั้งนี้เราเลือกนำกระจกลอนแก้วดีไซน์ ชื่อว่า Flowing Shade ที่มีแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับการหักเหของแสงที่เกิดจากการนำกระจกมาซ้อนกัน อีกทั้งยังนำเทคนิคของงานพิมพ์ ผสมผสานเข้ากับความโดดเด่นของกระจกลอนแก้ว เกิดเป็นกระจกลายเส้นที่มีมิติคล้ายภาพกราฟิก อีกทั้งยังให้มิติที่แปลกใหม่ของการไล่เฉดสี ซึ่งสีเกรเดียนท์นี้ ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากสีของท้องฟ้าเมื่อพระอาทิตย์กำลังตก ไล่เฉดสีจากเข้มไปอ่อนบนกระจก เกิดเป็นงานที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะที่โดดเด่น และลงตัว
ด้วยขนาด และความหนาของกระจกลามิเนต ส่งผลให้ตัวกระจกมีน้ำหนักสูงพอสมควร การใช้เพียงไม้สักทำเป็นฐานสามเหลี่ยมอาจจะไม่แข็งแรงเพียงพอ เราจึงมีการนำวัสดุ stainless steel เข้ามาเป็นโครงสร้างหลักช่วยรับน้ำหนัก แต่ด้วยลักษณะสีเงินวาวของ stainless ทำให้โดยรวมส่วนนี้ยังมีความไม่กลมกลืนกับฐานไม้ เราจึงเฟ้นหาบริษัทสีชั้นนำด้านการพ่นเคลือบโลหะ พ่นสีเคลือบ Stainless steel เพื่อให้ได้ผิวที่ยังคงความมันวาว แต่ให้โทนออกเป็นสีเงินเหลือบดำแบบ Dark Chrome และเมื่อมีแสงผ่านกระจกตกสะท้อนตัวขา ก็จะให้สีเหลือบดำสะท้อนแดงของหน้าโต๊ะออกมา เพิ่มความร่วมสมัยในสีสัน เมื่อนำไปตกแต่งในทุกพื้นที่การใช้งาน อีกทั้งยังเข้ากับเอกลักษณ์สีดำแอนทีคของทาง AGAL อีกด้วย
ลักษณะของโต๊ะทานข้าว โดยมากมักจะมี Pendant Light ส่องลงมาบนหน้าโต๊ะ ทำให้ดีไซน์ Flowing Shade ที่มีความโปร่งแสงนี้ สร้างบรรยากาศ ambient ที่มีลักษณะเฉพาะ สร้างมิติของแสงเงาที่น่าสนใจมากขึ้นให้กับบริเวณรับประทานอาหาร

At AGAL, it’s not only about delivering pieces that answer to our client’s need when it comes to product design, we also strive to introduce our roots and core. Combining which with modern materials, we drew out new distinctive results of a modern appeal while maintaining AGAL identity, like this Vinka dining table.
This dining table was developed from one of our iconic product, a foldable console whose design was simply series of straight lines forming a triangular base carrying its teak top. Growing from this original concept, we enlarge the base and replace teak top with glass, twisting a console to a refined dining table.
When first designed this table, we opted for a clear tempered glass. But to push forward on our design journey, this time we chose reeded glass called “Flowing Shade” which derived from an idea of light refraction caused by multiple layers of glass. This special character of reeded glass, when combined with printing technique, resulted in a graphic-like pattern with magnificent depth. Going further with gradient coloring inspired by the sunset sky ranging from dark to light, created a mesmerizing, unique visual.
As the size and thickness of laminated glass caused this table quite an amount of weight, to secure a firm triangular base was essential. We added stainless steel into the structure in order to reinforce its carrying capacity. However, the steel’s silver chrome didn’t appear too harmonious with the wooden base. So we searched for the top coloring service provider and had the stainless steel spray painted black but managed to keep its glossiness. Resulting in a magnificent dark chrome that when the light shone through would project a reddish tint caught from the table top gleaming over its black metallic body. A hue of which established contemporary sentiment wherever located, a distinct antique black of AGAL.
Dining tables were commonly decorated with a pendant light shining over. This was ideal for the Flowing Shade translucent design to perform its mesmerizing lighting ambient throughout your dining space.
